Recognition of the CE symbol in Great Britain extended until 1 January 2023

The UK government has announced that goods with the CE marking will now be allowed on the market in Great Britain until 1 January 2023.

This extension means that all product areas have until 1 January 2023 to prepare for the use of the UKCA marking, with the exception of medical products. The UKCA marking can already be used, and from the 1 January 2023 it will be compulsory for any goods being put on the market in Great Britain.

The Swiss Safety Center is at an advanced stage of contract negotiations with a recognised organisation in the UK. This will allow us to continue to provide you and all our customers with support for the CE 1253 pressure equipment even after the transition to the UKCA marking.
